I’m so far behind I can see myself in front of me…
Darling is waiting at the fair grounds for me to make another trip up with sheep. Then I’ll need to make yet another trip with all our supplies. Things that people around us feel are essential to public appearance that normally, here on the farm, we give little thought to. Things such as putting our clothes on before we walk out the door to do chores in the morning. Brushing one’s teeth or combing one’s hair. Washing your face and, better still, your armpits. People appreciate that kind of stuff out in public. So I’ve got a mountain load of public presentation stuff headed towards the truck…but not until my next trip. No, this trip I’ll just bring three more sheep and a bunch of rice crispy treats to keep me company.
No time to take pics or upload them before I go…however, I do have some fun ones of the girls getting silly with an old box of dress up clothes I found. Hope you enjoy!
Now, just so y’all don’t get lonely while I’m away, I’ve got a short list of fun blogs that you ought to visit this week. Do check in here and let me know if you went to see any of these folks, okay? Because there will be a quiz once I return. And it won’t be an open blog quiz, either… 🙂
There…that ought to keep you busy for awhile, eh? I ought to be back one week from today, providing disaster doesn’t strike. I had a ram nick my bad knee with a horn this morning, then stuck my hand into stinging nettles while attempting to pick strawberries. Such fun. Another ram looked at me today as though he’d like to see me flatter than a pancake, and had he been older he would have done it. Not one of mine, thankfully, but an icelandic that Darling was going to show this week. We returned him safe and sound to Brigget and are bringing Pokey. Yeah…bad boy Pokey who got me last week. Lesser of two evils, what can I say? Gotta run, y’all behave and have fun!
